Namaste

I created the artwork above - this is the Crown Chakra representation, "Sahasrara". the OM in the middle is a symbol for the Creation of the Universe. Use this sound in your meditation to enhance your prayers (which, in my advice, involves a LOT more listening and much less talking!)

The following stuff is from facebook originally, hence the format!

Made Indian food tonight for supper. Artan had seconds! Guess i didn't overdo it on the spice this time. When i read Artan a book about the Hindu faith, i think he figured out that his parents are not hippies, we're a couple of Hindus. I did not realize myself just how much i resonate with Hinduism, but how can i not? Living in devotional service to One God, to love all of Creation reverently, to meditate, to not eat meat! Kelt is destined to become a Sadhu, I a Midwife. NAMASTE

Jo Anderson and Marna Fahrney like this.

o
Jo Anderson:

I thought Hindus believe in many Gods?

o
Marna McManus:

Most people do think that. being raised christian, we were taught that we are separate from God and that there is only the one God who takes three forms (father, son & holy spirit) and that's it. yet the Hebrews prayed to the ONE God (Echad..., the Hebrew plural originally used in Genesis) using various personality aspects of God's many virtues (ie. Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi) each for different reasons, but all were still the one God.

Krishna (aka God) manifests in many different forms as well, with each personality being so distinct that many people believe that 'many gods' means not just One God. i don't know, is this called pantheism? If so, i can also be accused of being one of those. I have had too many wholistic revelations and moments of clarity in this lifetime, not to mention past life memories, to be able to say that the Christian doctrines are spiritually sound. in fact, it is more likely that the doctrines / interpretations (not the actual scriptures, in some cases of course) are satanic in origin because they seek to separate Mankind from the realization of unity with ALL THAT IS. if you were taught from a young age that you were you but you were also one with everything, and that you were sacred as was the very ground you walked upon, would you seek to dominate or would you revel in the glory of the perfection of your Divine Creator?

The Vedas have explained so much more about what i have experienced. We are all One. We are the God-Us. Some aspects of God have incarnated with much, much more power and awareness, others manifest as wounded versions with no power at all. I do not believe there is any separation between us nor is there between God and Man. This is a hugely Hindu belief. We see others as reflections of Divinity, we are all teachers and we are all students. one of my favourite Hindu quotes (which i learned from David Wolfe) is

"God Sleeps in Stone, Breathes in Plants, Dreams in Animals and Awakens in Man" ...

this is the most powerful thing i've found thus far. and it has been confirmed in my experience many times. I must say, Hinduism's guru system is where i make my departure as a westerner. i believe Jesus (whom i always usually refer to as Yeshua but my son is going to catholic school in a few weeks lol) was indeed manifest from a devotional group of people as a means of liberation from the DOCTRINES of sin and death (not the actuality of them but the perception of them) and i do believe He is a guru to potentially all of humanity, but i do not believe you have to say a magical prayer and you're instantly saved from your karma. salvation is a process of daily surrender. karma is necessary but you can also clear it through a devotional path of peace and surrender.

My Stars, You've Grown!

i do Dharmic astrological analysis of birth charts and i tend to have a good read on relationship stuff. Dharma is life purpose, your destined path, your karmic anatomy. I can see how people fit together in the big picture given their natal alignments. it helps to know the time one was born, to really get specific about various personality traits and WHY we have them to deal with, although i have had a great amount of success with kinesiological muscle-testing the time of birth or the relevant positions of houses etc.

i have only been at this a few years and although i do most of my work on feelings and hunches (based on the charts), i have helped a few people and their families understand them better. For many teachers, knowing the unique cosmic circumstances of your student's planets would more than enhance the learning experience - especially when the converse could be possible. Any deeper ways we can accept one another is cool by me.

One of my favourite teachers is Paramahansa Yogananda, for more reasons than i can name - sort of why a Christian would love King David or better yet, Yeshua. For me, the spiritual edification is astounding, because these guys are all about holiness, having a personal relationship with God, being authentically devoted. They are so full of Joy and realness, the way we always hoped our teachers would be.

Anyway, Yogananda's guru, Sri Yukteshwar, a wisdom yogi, studied astrology in the tradition of Indian people, which gets pretty intense and if you want to really prove how smart you are you should read his book, "The Holy Science". Yogananda writes of his lessons on astrology in the chapter "Outwitting the Stars" in his book, "Autobiography of a Yogi". He has some profound personal lessons involving karmic astrology, and Yukteshwar has some profound teachings on the subject!

"Superstitious awe of astrology makes one an automaton, slavishly dependent on mechanical guidance. The wise man defeats his planets - which is to say, his past - by transferring his allegiance from the creation to the Creator. The more he realizes his unity with Spirit, the less he can be dominated by matter. The soul is ever free; it is deathless because birthless. It cannot be regimented by stars."
(Yukteshwar)

I agree whole heartedly that it should not matter - mind over matter. But knowing - becoming aware - is important at first when beginning a devotional path of wholeness / holiness. I like knowing what karmic patterns need to be cleared, because they CAN be cleared! Salvation is free!

Awareness of our Divine Source is refining:

"Seeds of past karma cannot germinate if they are roasted in the fires of divine wisdom." (Yogananda)

I know, the purpose of all this is to be a super-conductor of God's loving light... so at some point we must surrender it all, knowing that we are ultimately destined to do so. So why suffer it? Why not just overcome it?

"The deeper the Self-realization of a man, the more he influences the whole universe by his subtle spiritual vibrations, and the less he himself is affected by the phenomenal flux." (Yukteshwar)

Knowing yourself means more easily forgiving yourself. I have spent more than sufficient time studying my own planets, and now, if i find myself having "issues" i can usually pinpoint why / what it is i'm looking at within the big picture.

I believe we choose the exact moment of our birth, or rather, karma chooses it for us. I had chosen to sit in my young mother's belly "upside-down and backwards" and i had refused to budge for two months. Did this mean that my energy was aiming for a particular birth situation?

So, Cosmically speaking, i am Cancer cusping Leo, with a Libra Moon, Libra Ascendant, Mercury in Leo; Mars, Venus & Jupiter are ALL in Gemini, Saturn in Leo, Uranus Scorpio; Neptune Sagittarius Pluto in Libra; July 21, 1977 at 12:06 noon in Weyburn CANADA if you have Astrological propensities.

The Cusp for me is meaningful because i have a lot of "dualities" or "balancing energies" (the latter being how i prefer to look at it!) The Cancer-Leo cusp is all about the home, being creative, being dedicated to work-at-home. I always wanted a family, i always wanted to be a stay-at-home mom. My home and my family are the center of my world. Water and Fire make steam so i'm a bit of a boiled kettle squealing sometimes.

My moon is in Libra - this is an air sign, with Venutian beauty and fairness and equality (or inequality) triggering my emotions... I am a romantic, through and through. With Libra also as my rising sign, i tend to not be able to hide this side of me. Ideal is what i want in my emotional body, so ideal is what i seek as i go out into the world. Air is often easy-going and refreshing, but can be capable of being pushy, or shaking your shutters.

My Mercury in Leo reinforces my VOICE - my message - and my need for my message to be uniquely mine. Leo is an ambitious show-off. My father is also a Leo. This FIRE sign gives my purpose of communication a lot of passion. Mercury is the messenger, and in the tenth house, i am best pegged as a writer because i am willing to devote my life to my cause, and to adapt to whatever life presents me with as i develop my roots. I have NO Earth signs in my chart but my sun, my Mercury and my Saturn are all in the tenth house, which indicates i am grounded when it comes to what i offer the world via communication and dedicated service.

For brevity's sake, i will summarize the three planets in Gemini (an air sign) as the continuance of the complimentary / balancing energies (though, there have been years where i was sure i was two people). Mars, Venus and Jupiter are path-related but in a nutshell we're talking about practical and romantic relationships, and career. Let's leave my first marriage out of this and say that I required romantic love with effective communication. I am supposed to have a career related to communications. I have a message. Backed by steam. Blown by a mighty wind. does the phrase, "full of hot air" come to mind? it should. but that's my concern, not yours!

If i can just say one thing about astrology, it's that i'm not interested in predicting the future or blaming the stars for anything. I'm all about discovering that which is already within us. this is just another way to do that. but unless we can use those discoveries for evolution, what is the point? not sure there is ever a point apart from evolution...

"Man is a soul, and has a body. When he properly places his sense of identity, he leaves behind all compulsive patterns. So long as he remains confused in his ordinary state of spiritual amnesia, he will know the subtle fetters of environmental law."

On the End of the World...

the following are some facebook status updates from the past two days i just wanted to share, as i'm going to start doing more and more... why spend the time writing it there when i can make double use of my ideas?

Everybody was talking about the world ending yesterday... like apparently a lot of people believed the Rapture was happening... This inspired the following realization i had about believing the Rapture was happening 18 years ago...

"in 1993 i was told by a religious teacher of mine that Jesus was coming back in October of that year. Not long after, i totally gave up my V-card to my serious boyfriend, because hey, not only would Jesus forgive me, but i wasn't ready to call heaven home. i was 16 and felt like Jesus was ripping me off by coming back before i could do it!"

Then i thought I'd contribute a commentary among the many posts of videos from youtube including "Until the End of the World" by U2:

"well if the world did end, that would explain why my yard looks so heavenly today... unless it was just the rain... "

the extremely rainy day ended up not taking us all to heaven and igniting the great tribulation, which reminded me of all the times Kelt and I have discussed the last book of the Bible, Revelation, which was canonized by the Council of Nicea primarily because of its final lines that say something along the lines of 'nobody is allowed to add to or take away from this Word...' ... thus igniting a two-thousand year tribulation because of the NON-necessity of this lowly-calibrating rambling. Anyway, i only get 420 characters to write a facebook status, so here is how my thought formed itself within those confines:

"By the time John wrote Revelation he was a geriatric schizophrenic. It is highly unholy and inappropriate to predict future events. It is inappropriate to say, "this is our future", because it denies the God-Us given responsibility to co-create our reality. It turns a Master's words into a religious demise of a dangerously dogmatic & disempowering agenda. Jesus, I know you didn't Verily say unto us to do that."

No, Yeshua certainly did not intend for a religion at all. He wanted us to see our inherent unity and that religions were oppressing people and enforcing the illusion of separateness between man and God; one human and the other.

John, when he wrote the Gospel of John, was at his spiritual peak, because he had just spent three years in the presence of the Master of holy living, whom he also recognized (as do i) as an incarnation of the Torah, a manifestation of Hebrew dogma for the purpose of freeing the Hebrew people from their self-created illusions and trappings of sin/punishment, guilt/atonement, separation/sacrifice ... He had to come because first of all, words are powerful, and when that many people praise those words (five books of mostly rules) with reverence and kiss it and pray for its manifestation, you're going to get a manifestation. This is why satanism is so nifty. I believe that Judaism is no different. The result of hoping for an embodiment of the Creator, however, will get you some pretty awesome spiritual upgrades for all of humanity. So, Yeshua just wanted to give us upgrades, and undo an entire religion - NOT create a new one.

The world will go on. The Christ frequency is with us, because of Jesus being here and using his frequency to give the world an upgrade, not so much because of his death - though, it would not have been any other way, because it was written that his death was how the duality-perceivers could forgive themselves and allow for their own journey to salvation. again, all perception. Blood may have been destined to be shed, but God was not going to waste an opportunity to FIRST FOR THE JEWS allow for shackles to be broken on all fronts.

The more time you spend with Yeshua the more privy you are to the true reality, of oneness. I once heard someone say, "We are all God learning about God" and now i use the terminology "God-Us" because i have spent my lifetime in a field of spiritual growth, seeking God and finding ALL-That-Is, I AM THAT.

I'm not trying to be controversial, but people need to wake up and realize their responsibility as co-creators. The world doesn't need more followers. it needs more leaders.

Regarding Teacher Pay...

A friend of mine posted that she'd been debating with a woman whose stance is that the teachers are government employees and they should therefore submit and take what they get, do as they're told... ugh. i appreciate my friend Kathy's feist, so i read the entire thread (something i rarely do) on facebook and i contributed the following:

if the government (govern=control; ment=mind) is supposed to be representing the people, shouldn't the greater good always be the ultimate goal of establishing educational institutions? democracy and inter-dependence are high integrity and must also be a process of constant negotiation. if we continue to hand over our power to portended "authorities" then we won't actually ever realize freedom.

Educators are also always learning, and we as humans always come up with improvements to facilitate our evolution.

Educators deserve reverence because they innovate and co-create with children.

CHILDREN are not only the future, but their innocent perception is critical for our advancement as a species.

i love my poplar trees, because they serve as a reminder that if we want to spread our seeds around, we might make others uncomfortable, but being prolific in your fertility increases your chances of making a difference in your co-creation of the world.

for our path, lessons, co-creation
We see ourselves as Evolution
Naturally progressing toward I AM

Feral Goddess has a Business License

How do I contribute to my community, serving in love, for all practical intents and purposes, and still earn a living relative to my duties as a homemaker, but actually replacing the income our household has grown accustomed to by my cleaning homes and offices?

Feral Goddess – Nurturing Creativity

When i came up with the name Feral Goddess just three years ago, I was trying to find my super hero name, and I felt like a sort of domestic goddess in all her glory, with what i had created since being on the super foods.

“Super Foods make Super Heroes” sayeth David Wolfe, and I totally agreed.

I felt like I was rising to my destiny to be this protector of innocence and purveyor of honest, down-to-earth ways to nurture ourselves, our children, our relationships with each other and with the God-Us.

I wanted to convey my unwillingness to cater to the conventional ideas. I wanted to show my unique expression via always choosing creative ways of doing the smaller things, like daily projects and the big-picture things, like how to co-create the family life / career you want. I want to provoke people to thinking critically about all aspects of what they have been taught by other people, and to start listening to the still, small Voice within.

"There is a voice that does not use words. Listen." (Rumi)

I know people need me in this town because I don’t find people like me very often. I hug them when I meet them, if I do meet them. I want to find more people like me – people interested in the things I am interested in, whether they know it yet or are just curious - and since I like to talk and teach, I can pass on the experience and resources I have accumulated throughout my extended youth.

I have come to realize that my journey is about creative nurturing, but that I have been afraid to command the public to consider giving more priority to self-nurturing, self-love, and co-creative relationships. I have not been bold about insisting that it is okay to give yourself what you need, when you need it; to want to be wildly in love with life, with your children, with your mate, with your calling. It’s okay to create boundaries, as love helps us outgrow those boundaries when we are ready. It’s okay to need cave time – we all thrive on cave time because this is when we can steal away to our prayer closets and be rejuvenated. We may not always have tools, though. So that’s where I come in. I will tell you that you can be selfish with your time – for a time – and I will teach you ways to use that time to EVOLVE who you are, nurturing the whole body – physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. We just need to make different choices – both big and small-picture – with courage, confidence and conviction.

So I will make the contacts I need to make; talk to whom I am serendipitously juxtaposed, and just keep praying in my silent, trusting way… I am doing what I love for free, and I will continue to do so, because when the right idea lands in my head I will act on it and I will rock that with face-melters and everything.

I AM

I am grateful
for wisdom
and for grace

I am only ever
seeking the Holy Face

Even when I don't know I am
I am

Even when I can't feel I AM
I am

When we think we're on the other end of love
we must remember...

To be grateful for lessons
Blessings and Grace

To know we are face to face

Even when I don't know I am
I AM

"they put the mind-control aids right in there..."

http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/09/14/a-new-name-for-high-fructose-corn-syrup/

A New Name for High-Fructose Corn Syrup - NYTimes.com
well.blogs.nytimes.com
Corn refiners are asking the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to change the name of high-fructose corn syrup, using the term "corn sugar" instead, in hopes of clearing up consumer confusion about the product.

NOW do you believe me that it's more important to deceive the public than to not continue profiting by selling toxic substances as foods? If you didn't know, High-Fructose Corn Syrup is extremely nasty, yet it's used in any brand-packaged sweet thing including pop. Save your DNA & Stop using HFCS!

“I’m not eager to help the corn refiners sell more of their stuff,” Dr. Nestle wrote in an e-mail. “But you have to feel sorry for them. High-fructose corn syrup is the new trans fat. Everyone thinks it’s poison, and food companies are gett...ing rid of it as fast as they can.”

Everybody THINKS it's poison? Everybody KNOWS! Changing its name will only fool those who want to be poisoned, those who still eat trans fats in spite of all the awareness about fats that kill. HFCS is a sugar that kills!

There are alternatives to addictive drugs like HFCS, Aspartame (which has changed its name a few times too!) and Hydrogenated vegetable oil and propylene glycol and soy and canola oils.

Here are some ideas for ways to protect yourself from mass-marketed killers:

Don't buy boxes of foods unless you can pronounce and picture every ingredient!

don't buy salad dressing in the store unless you can lay eyes upon the person who made it!

Stop buying canola oil ... just, look into it if you must, but stop it. for the sake of the future generations. the healthier oils are worth any extra expense.

COOK ONLY WITH COCONUT OIL OR BUTTER. do not heat olive oil or sunflower oil or hemp oil

Only use soy beans if they are sprouted (eat just the sprout not the bean) and/or fermented (ie tofu, miso). that means avoid all soy unless it has been rendered digestible. ALL other forms are completely impossible to digest. all beans and grains should be soaked/sprouted even if you're going to cook them. in fact, corn is quite difficult to assimilate by most people who are not of aboriginal descent.

if you must have pop buy the kinds made with ONLY either cane sugar (organic natural cane sugar brands include Reed's, Real Brew, Virgil's - i used to work in a grocery store so i know there are even more brands) OR apple juice and grape juice as sweeteners.

Stevia is another safe option, as is coconut sugar, but good luck finding mass marketing for products with such a low profit margin.

if you want to know more you need to research and empower yourself so that you can keep your genetic material safe and feel good today

Look forward to our book "Conscious Evolution: Choices for Co-Creating an Empowered Legacy" for information like this and beyond! Let's go down the rabbit hole, folks!

Why I Love Good TV & Movies

there's something about Buffy the Vampire Slayer that speaks to the primal defender within me. the show, if you haven't seen it, is one of my top five best-ever faves of all time, of any dvd i would recommend. there are seven seasons and it just gets better. it satisfies the archetypal warrior hero story line while inspiring every person to find their inner super hero. Joss Whedon is, after all, a female empowerment advocate, as well as a creative genius.

while watching the season premiere of Buffy 7 today, simultaneously cuddling my 10-year-old furry purring beast Ruby, I had a realization about why i love the experience of watching television (or dvds in most cases). it feels like when you're in heaven and you can review any lifetime you desire to review, and build more (vicariously yet not) on your own lifetimes of lessons. we get to share in experiences that empower, encourage and teach us all, because when it really comes down to it we are all here doing those things precisely. our salvation happens when we realize our role in a real-life archetypal battle for the power of our minds and the deeds of our bodies.

the need for the hero archetype has never been more prevalent than it has in the past fifty years, once our souls struck through to our minds just how much we need to be rescued from technocracy, from drugs and science and degeneration. to me, the symbolism of a blood-sucking demon is about as good as it gets. Bram Stoker might have been talking about the blood-sucking English, but i liken the metaphor to the illuminati, who are represented in our daily lives as energy vampires, those too weak to know any better because they have been repeated pawns in a larger plan for downregulation of human genetic code, and of course they are walking programmed robots for illuminati mind-controlling interests. this is all made possible by good ol' corporate greed and handy dandy marketing propaganda a plenty.

Buffy busts out the molds for heroism. she reminds me of what is possible if we allow ourselves to believe in magic; to not stand by and watch another apocalypse take out those we love. But beyond Buffy and heroic symbolism, well-made tv shows and movies speak to all of the the archetypes and unite us in empathic resonance. I don't enjoy television programming that propagates mimetic falsities (such as many talk shows, reality tv and "the news", just to name a few), but i can appreciate a great piece of art as well as anyone. That which makes me laugh and cry and see past anybody's differences to know we are all the same, now that is good tv.

Call of the Wild Woman

"In her wake, the Empowered Woman leaves warm hearts in all; mothers honored, fathers encouraged, babies held, bellies filled, blessings spoken, hopes lifted, tears wiped, energy raised, love enraptured."

The above quote came to me in a dream last night.

I know doesn't make sense sometimes that i consider myself wild, since i'm home 90% of the time and I don't get drunk and 'show my tits' or spend any time in the forest at all (though i would like to, if we had one - we will be building a small fruit tree forest in our back yard over the course of the next few years, however). My wildness comes with my determination set years ago for full authenticity. i set out to know who I AM, to realize what was my purpose in life, to know myself thoroughly so that i would not waste a single moment giving energy to things that were not part of my path. it has been surprising, therefore, to find what IS part of my path, which is what life is like: you may be co-creating your reality but you will get surprises nonetheless!

My idea of a wild woman is the woman who loves her role as a domestic goddess only to the point where she is FREE to reign as Queen of Creation. ALL aspects of nurturing are creative. ALL aspects of energy clearing are creative. the Wild woman's role is to be present in the moment and respond as Spirit directs. NOT answering to any man, woman or child. Not being irreverent, either. Just wild.

I DO WHAT I WANT is a pretty common motto of a wild woman. but a Self-realized wild woman says so with humility and gratitude, and what she usually does want to do is to nurture, within the realm of boundless creativity. In the case of nursing a baby, I did take orders from my son and did so with ecstatic joy of purpose-fulfilling resolve and surrender.

Most of us are taught to know what we want, ask for it, get it and then complain. Not the wild woman - she has cultivated an attitude of innocent perception, of childlike faith in simplicity. all things are God. All things are gift from the Goddess. We are excited to discover sometimes that the way we thought our prayers would be answered is not at all how they are being answered - its going to be way better, beyond imagination!

I truly believe in imagination. I imagined in my dream last night how I might be remembered, as an Empowered Woman. I knew which qualities i wanted to exemplify and inspire in others. I AM all about the Spiritual Midwifery. There is nothing more ecstatically fulfilling to me than to be able to offer support to someone who is processing something out, or trying to process something within.

I must make a recommendation for my readers who've enjoyed this rant even just a little. I bow down to my personal hero on this subject (and many others), my Sister Goddess, Anastasia, who lives in the Siberian Taiga forest in Russia, raising her children in the wild. Her book series is called The Ringing Cedars of Russia and she expounds on philosophy of co-creation, grounding / connecting with Earth, gardening, bee-keeping, parenting, childrens' education, communing as Family. There is great value in what she teaches, and our book will contain several quotes by her i am sure. http://www.ringingcedars.com/

On that note, i am pleased to announce that Kelt and I not only got married nearly three weeks ago, but that we have finally settled on a book title, "Conscious Evolution: Choices for Co-Creating an Empowered Legacy".

let's talk about sex, babies.

my friend Jennifer posted a question on facebook: " Question to all the parents: about what age did your child/ren start to ask questions about "where babies come from"/sex/reproduction? Do you think there is a right or "wrong" age to discuss it? How was it handled in your household growing up? I appreciate any input from anyone. I'm working on a paper. Thanks! "

The following is what i wrote. it's late and i'm no perfectionist today. enjoy. :P

i knew what sex was when i was 3 because i asked and my mom told me the truth. so my barbies did it with Ken, and i promised not to talk about sex with other kids.

We have always been free of shame w/ re sex and Artan... he has been interested since he was about just turning 4. he called me "Sexy" a lot earlier than that, though, because my man calls me that all the time. Sex, we believe, should be celebrated.

Artan gets boners a lot and he is sure into talking about it. my mom thinks i shouldn't talk about it, that i should worry he'll say things to other kids and i'll get in trouble. i'm not too worried about it at all or anything else for that matter. he asked his little girlfriend if she has a vagina and she said no what's that? he did not know that most kids don't get full-on anatomy lessons at 3 years old, and i told him that she probably calls it her 'pee pee' or something. when i was a kid the other kids called it a 'peach' or 'petunia' or anything but the real word. i think that's ridiculous. our provincial capital is Regina but it's not pronounced like you'd think, it actually rhymes with vagina. and my son hysterically laughingly pointed that out at 3 years old too. he has an incredible sense of humor !

i think for me i was caught between knowing what it was and perceiving all this shame and guilt associated with sex from such a young age... i was 'saving myself for marriage' on one hand and extremely horny and curious and enamored by the mystery of sex, that my issues with sex stemmed from having participated in the pattern i was taught. I was not able to talk to my parents about sex when i was having it as a teenager, and i know for sure that if they had not placed so much shame on it i could have been more open with them, since i was in love and very serious about marriage and of course i was careful. even when i shacked up with the man who became my first husband, my parents would not stay in our home, but would stay in a hotel instead, when they came to Calgary to visit. i would not have married him if that were not the climate in relation to premarital sex being unholy. but woulda, shoulda, and coulda can teach us some pretty profound lessons.

what sexual climate do we set for our children when we ignore a vital part of our humanity in their presence? what does it teach them if they never see mom and dad madly embracing? as you know, the hormones associated with sex and birth and breastfeeding (particularly oxytocin) are the same experience emotionally when you really get down to what this is about: intimacy. parents who enjoy each other, possibly who nursed-while-humping, would not be interested in hiding from their children the miraculous and pragmatic glorious legend of the sex.

i hope that helps... thanks for letting me ramble...

I'll Get to Doing That... but first can i bake you a cake?

The photo is of my where my deck was ripped out, which has to be cleaned up still. I can't get too carried away with landscaping since there will be renos one day

I have already had two showers today and I stink again (such is life during a parasite cleanse!) Never mind the heat out there - it's 30 degrees celcius today!

So much is in flux right now, so much out-with-the-old, in-with-the-new energetic processing, not like in times past where it was utter upheaval, but it's intense because we are approaching it like 'from the inside', from within our thought patterns. I'm ahead of myself with that; plenty has been stirred up. Removal is another thing entirely. Getting rid of all that i know i do not want is the theme of this week for me. Moving forward with all i want, all i have awaiting me. I am at the transition of the birth that is the newest me, the most pure and holy Marna.

Deservance / worthiness is probably the biggest blocking pattern in my history. I was not always convinced that i deserved to have what i wanted. I have been just a little bit stuck in an ancestral pattern, which played out for a time in my life, when patterns of guilt and non-acceptance of self were highly ingrained within my defense system. I thought i needed to be protected from everything out there, but what i really needed protection from was what was going on in here. eternally.

i'm a Cancer cusping Leo, so I'm really feeling this rhythm now. I don't beat myself up anymore for not doing my dishes every day, or for not picking up all the toys and clothing my son can set records for leaving laying around. I don't need to worry about what people think, and I care most about peace and flow, so sometimes a little mess can be a good thing. When people stand to get hurt, things get picked up! When I know i NEED things to be neat and tidy then I do the tidying. I don't care anymore, unto my own aesthetic needs, because i would not have something in my home that i did not love, and therefore, i look at it like, I'm surrounded by things i love, and they're beautiful, and there are usually stories, and it's okay if you don't appreciate it because i do. my cave is my Space of Love. It's what you CAN't see that makes it all the more powerful.

In simple humility, i have the love of a wee abode not pretending to bow to materialism. i am the richest, most abundant eccentric wise woman anybody knows, whether they know or not, i don't care. My lifestyle is filled with joy, and I don't ever have to worry, I don't ever have to stress. I can relax when i need to, and ride the waves of the worker bee when i have them. In this heat, i will enjoy what aspects work for me - water! - and fresh fruit!

"Primal"

primal ease
instead of primal fear

fear came upon
the Forgetting

Remembering Who We Are
relieves the fear
relieves pain & suffering

Primal Comfortability

I come from a moment
I exist in a time

I am now, I AM eternal

primal trust, by design

I know where I AM from

I know how to Shine.

Baby-Wearing Suits Everybody, Especially Babies

Why Every Parent Should Wear Their Babies

I'll admit it's a passion of mine, but it's also a primal instinct for humans - primitive as well as modern, civilized humans - to wear their young. The benefits are astounding, and I speak from personal experience. To list just a few of the 'official' perks of baby-wearing, you get calmer babies who cry much less and are less prone to colic or gas; they are better socialized because they are eye-to-eye with society and therefore also have better language development because they are better able to hear and see adults; and of course, parents get to bond with and know their child so well the child's needs are met instantly and less stress is experienced by everyone.

My Personal Experience

I did not find it as easy to do in the early months, but at 8 weeks my son and i found our groove. Because my arms got so tired from holding him while standing up, I insisted on mastering the wearing of him in a sling that was given to me. Artan nursed every hour for the first year, so i loved having the option to just nurse him while i did whatever it was i was doing - so not feeling interrupted, I was a happier mommy; not having to wait for boob, he was a happier baby. We used a sling for at least two and a half years, but used it less frequently as he was getting older, when he wanted to walk instead. I never once took my son's car seat out of the car - with the exception of the first and only time, which was just ridiculously cumbersome for me but i tried it because he was sleeping when we got to a restaurant. After that I just picked him up, sleeping or not, and put him into the sling, where he continued to sleep anyway. I also didn't need to keep a baby swing / electric or bouncy rocker in my space either. I never felt like it was cramping my style because my style is that of the busy hands, busy feet, eye-to-eye, heart-to-heart, relationship-oriented loving living type.

What Kind of Sling Works Best

I loved my padded ring sling for the first year because they have great control, are comfortable for the early months when nursing comfort is absolutely critical - especially with outings. If you find these awkward at first, there is a hump you have to get over and then these work blissfully - especially for constant-nursers!

For older babies, however, the one-piece / native / baby star/ band-style is my preference. These are great if you just need support with shorter wearings and want to have a tidier sling in tow (ie they fit better in your purse).

The really-long-piece of fabric style, which can wrap any which way, is great for going to a wedding; a really gorgeous wrap (i have made custom wraps for custom outfits) is especially handy for extra privacy in crowds where my child is not supposed to be the center of attention! ;)

They Usually Fall Asleep But They Could Also Be Super Heroes

If I could, I would coach every mother in my community for free on how to achieve easier baby-wearing. I will endeavor to use my feral goddess youtube page to post a few tutorials and demonstrations. Why is it important - aside from the fact that all babies tend to fall asleep in the sling - to wear your baby? Because it's imperative for humans to remain primal, to continue nurturing the mammalian brain and not neglecting deeply critical emotional energy within the limbic system, so that we can instead embrace yet another excellent opportunity to heal the evolving human race from the attempted denigration of the family bond by plastic corporate greed. We can recover our society from the surrogate comforts, which always lead to maladjusted personalities, neuroses, health problems, etc. Instead we can inspire authenticity in the people we co-create. They can be emotionally secure and therefore have none of the hang-ups we've 'discovered' in the most recent generations.

"...Modern science (as a front for greedy energy-control corporations financed by Illuminati banking interests) still has nearly everyone fooled." (David Wolfe / Nick Good, Amazing Grace 2008)

We can create super-heroes out of our children by meeting their physical and emotional needs in those early years especially. Do the research - children who are not breast-fed are much more likely to become criminals, for example. So how much greater can we make babies, if we not only meet their nutritional needs but also their higher-brain functioning (such as socialization, as i mentioned in the first section), simply by wearing them on our bodies?

Well, I have to admit, I am living with a 4-year-old super hero now and I am in humble gratitude that my instincts led me to this time-honored, primal practice. Baby-wearing - JUST DO IT!

to worry is the devil

As an attempting Co-Creator in an aspirant Legacy of Ecstatic Mothering, I endeavor to discourage mothers from worrying not just because it's not fun, but worrying actually creates bad situations (footnotes as per quantum physics, ancient texts, etc ... :p ).

what to do with the mama bear instinct energy? it's unfortunately a modern motherly response to want to "fix" the situation in a masculine sense, but all we tend to do with that primal energy is to worry, which is not beneficial. So... instead of worrying in the classic sense, you can use your 'concerns' to remind you to creatively ask to receive intuitive guidance as to that which would shift the pattern into something your family members can use to their mutual advantage. If you find yourself worrying (by recognizing 'bad' feelings during thoughts), press 'delete' in your head and ask a how or why question from which you accept responsibility in the answer, for example, how can i turn his day around? if you wait for an answer, simply by knowing you have an audience (all that is, I AM, God, what-have-you), trust that you'll get an answer. And the brilliant Universal Mother within you actually answers. I've seen this happen time & time again.

I don't have issues with worrying as much as i have programs running that are negative 'curses' such as, "if you keep playing on the street you're bound to get hit by a car" or anything - it could be anything psychological too - it's often that i catch myself repeating exactly what my mother and grandparents would say (and i am sure, their grandparents before them and so on) This is how things in this world get out of control. We are capable of creating a different paradigm of parenting if we end the patterns - such as worrying, nagging, etc - by choosing to replace them with positive ones that eventually encourage our children to express who they really are - which is absolutely magical. Long-held patterns tend to stifle evolution. The only thing that is constant is change!

It is my prayer that my long-blabbering rants inspire parents to partake in conscious evolution so that worry, fear, doubt, and all negativity may become extinct.

Six Years of Good Home Lovin'

In honor of my SIX YEAR Anniversary of the day I moved in with Kelt to be his wife, I must resurrect this little ditty of devotional praise for my man:

Kelt is the yang to my yin in every way; we are twin souls, destined to procreatively bless the Mother with sweetness, rejoicing again and thanking the Father for the opportunity to love eternally.

I never knew a man could be so perfectly masculine and wonderfully feminine, and i never knew anyone could care so much! Kelt cares too much, but this is the greatest of his faults.

i love how he takes care of me, how i take care of him, how we can both perfectly well take care of ourselves but we GET to take care of eachother.

i love that he always expects the best of people, and that he wants to help to bring out the best in people. the first moment i met him i knew that about him, and it made me want to live my best life.

Kelt is a truly powerful healer, and he is not arrogant or self-righteous or even pretentious about it. it simply is one of his many gifts, one he has particular interest in because it matches his caring nature.

Kelt gets really pissed off at the same things i get pissed off at - mostly with regard to people who choose to continue creating hell for themselves - but i really do love the way he expresses his anger. he always talks about wanting to picket naked, and i think that's so adorable. he cares enough to want to make a difference. and so he does.

kelt is easily the most brilliant person i know.

kelt is the best daddy i could have imagined for my children, and he is fully supportive of my intense bond with Artan. he knows that we have to make up for lost time and heal wounds of separation from other times. he knows that we are all here together now to love and that's all that's required of us.

i've learned from Kelt so many things, and i continue daily to do so. we learn from each other and with each other, and every lesson is just a deeper understanding of the greater picture; just another aspect of love.

i just had to write this to express how much i respect and admire my husband for all his charm and character, sensitivity and sexiness, depth and dimension, wit and wisom, manliness and madness, talent and tenacity.

Everybody should just be nice. Go Flames Go. You just gotta giv'er.
