i love my poplar trees, because they serve as a reminder that if we want to spread our seeds around, we might make others uncomfortable, but being prolific in your fertility increases your chances of making a difference in your co-creation of the world.

because trees that multiply like that (all over and under one's yard when they're as big as our two hundred-year-old poplars are) are an inspiration to me as i seek to love them rather than curse them
my poplars are not two hundred years old... i have two, and they are each a hundred years old. that came across inaccurately ambiguous!
